BGMS 8th grader, Brenden Palma, broke two middle school records at the Hornets swim meet Thursday night at Plainfield. First, the 200M Freestyle record of 2:09.70, set in 2014 by Jack Ulery, was crushed by over four seconds with a time of 2:05.53. Palma proved to have even more in the tank five events later when he broke Janis Vuskalns' 100M Freestyle record (2005) of 58.02 seconds with a time of 57.90 seconds. Palma has his sights set on two more records this season and his coaches believe that he is on track to do so thanks to his hard work and dedication to improving every day. Keep up the hard work Brenden! Go Hornets!
