Beech Grove could not keep up with Bulldogs 7-3 on Monday. Bulldogs opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two walks. Bulldogs first got on the board when Spitz drew a walk, scoring one run. Kelly grounded out, which helped Beech Grove tie the game at two in the top of the second. Bulldogs jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after McPhearson singled down the right field line, Griffin doubled to center field, and Beech Grove committed an error, each scoring one run. Bulldogs added one run in the third. Beech Grove committed an error, making the score 6-3. White started the game for Beech Grove. The pitcher gave up four hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking six. Campbell led Beech Grove with one run batted in.
