Both Beech Grove and ISD had their offenses going on Thursday, but Beech Grove eventually prevailed 28-9. Beech Grove collected 14 hits, while ISD had four. Beech Grove jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, Moore drew a walk, scoring one run, Boyer doubled, scoring three runs, Stennett doubled, scoring one run, Campbell tripled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run. Beech Grove added to their early lead at the top of the second inning after ISD committed an error, and Ballard singled up the middle, each scoring one run. Beech Grove added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Beeson grounded out, Moore walked, and Harper tripled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Beech Grove scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. White singled, scoring one run, Campbell hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Moore drew a walk, scoring one run, Harper singled, scoring one run, and Kelly singled, scoring one run.
